Message from the Chairman,

Dear NCRS Northeast Chapter Members,

​

I am pleased to announce that our Northeast Chapter received the 2022 Chapter Top Flight Award presented at the NCRS National Convention in French Lick earlier this year.  Jay Tansey was on hand to accept the award – see photo in this newsletter.  The Chapter must fulfill many requirements each year to receive this award.  Events such as the Judging Meet, Technical Session, Judging School, Membership Meeting, Social Event, etc. must be planned, executed, and attended by our members. Quota for membership participation for judging, tabulation, and driving Corvettes to events are recorded and reported to obtain the award.  Thanks to everyone who has contributed in one way or another that has helped our Chapter achieve the award.

We had our summer picnic on August 5th at the Sunset Grill in Watertown, CT. Thanks to Mike Lombardi for organizing the event.  We were fortunate to have perfect weather and a great showing of members and Corvettes.  Congratulations to Bob Boutot for taking home the “Teenagers’ Choice” award for his ’63!

Membership dues continue to remain at $25.00 for 2023. If you have not done so already, please remember to renew on line via the NCRS National website www.ncrs.org or by mail using the form available in the newsletter or on our Chapter website www.ncrsnec.com.

Later this year we will have a road tour and technical seminar. If you have any ideas for these events, please submit your idea to one of board members. We will also have our same chapter spaces at Corvettes @ Carlisle in August. Look for us at J125 and J126. 

​

Planning continues for the May 2024 New England Regional Event on May 31 through June 1, 2024 in Marlborough, MA that will be co-hosted by our Northeast Chapter and the New England Chapter. This event will serve as a feeder to the 2024 National Convention in Hampton Roads, VA on August 4-8, 2024. Planning is underway for our Regional and we will be looking towards our chapter membership to volunteer to help at the event. It is sure to be an exciting event with great participation. We are also looking for sponsors for this event.
